Book of Takkas – Fairy Tales for Adults

Knjiga o Takama

Edition gaar | 2019

“Book of Takkas” is a collection of stories about the allegorical world of Takkas and describes the lives of its inhabitants through archetypal conflicts. Takkas live in Wota’s land and are the gods of voles – voles are creatures of the allegorical world from the book “Living with Voles.” Wota, the creator, first created the vole and humans. Disappointed with her work, she created creatures in her own image and within her own capabilities in a new land with her lover Moon – Takkas.

The book tells the story of the fates of individual Takkas, the origins of individual countries and cities, the legends and mythology of the Takkas, their beliefs, the heroes of their past, dreams, and parallel worlds. In the fates of the Takkas, archetypal, eternal – and thus also present – conflicts within the family or social community become clearly visible. An individual, thrown into the world with a specific destiny, is in search of answers to eternal existential questions and experiences both extreme brutality and extraordinary tenderness on his individual path.
